During these past several months, we have all collectively been spending more time at home. For those that are able to, this presents an opportunity to explore hobbies and interests…or at least tackle a project that’s been on the back-burner for ages.
One of the projects that I have been reading up about is video editing and streaming. I’m trying to figure out a way to invite people to my mostly solitary practice of art-creation and potentially set up art parties to create a little gathering of like-minded individuals. Having a sense of community is increasingly important the longer we are in “social distance” mode.
Let’s get real; even introverts need to reach out to one another before snuggling up in a blanket burrito to binge on their show of preference.
We all have to start out somewhere, and my first dip into having you all up in my art space started on Twitch before settling onto YouTube. I have some thoughts on fundraising, especially towards helping bridge the inequity gaps, but need to figure things out first…if you have any ideas or experience and wish to share I’m all ears!
Currently I am planning to offer an hour-long stream on YouTube once a week, around late afternoon to evening. Sign up to my email list for news and updates so you don’t miss out.
I’m also condensing the completed live-streams into digestible 5min or less video, as shown above. Keep an eye on my YouTube channel as I add more content – I take requests for future streams and put a little spin on your ideas for fun.
I’m still a little shy but I hope we can grow together!
